Dr Richard Pugh

Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Glan Clwyd Hospital, North Wales and has been a member of WICS Council since June 2013. Lead for the WICS Audit and Research Group June 2013-18, he was elected Chair of WICS at the Annual General Meeting in 2018.

WICS Secretary

 Dr Chris Littler

Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Dr Littler has been a previous member of WICS Council who stepped down at the end of a long and illustrious tenure several years ago. As of October 2015 he was “co-opted” onto Council to fill the vacant secretarial role. He was then formally re-elected to Council in June 2016 for a three year term.

WICS Audit & Research Lead

 Dr Ceri Battle

Consultant Physiotherapist Morriston Hospital and Honorary Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, Swansea University. Dr Battle is also the joint specialty research lead for Injuries and Emergencies (Health and Care Research Wales). Previously AHP and Nursing lead from June 2017, Dr Battle was elected Audit and Research Lead at the AGM in June 2018.

  • Mrs Sharon Norman - Nursing and AHP lead. With a background in critical care nursing and clinical development, Sharon is course lead and lecturer for the MSc programme in Critical Care at Cardiff University.   • Dr Hywel Roberts – Welsh Intensive Care Society Ex- Chair (June 2018- June 2019). Dr Roberts is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at University Hospital Wales. He has been WITS Chair (2006-7), WICS Council member (2009-19) during which time he founded the WICS Audit and Research Group and was WICS Chair 2014-2017.
